How to Accept and Embrace Disagreement
What do you do when the person to whom you are talking is simply factually wrong but isn't willing to confront that possibility? What do you do with a person who is co-opting the language of validation/invalidation to try to bully you into either agreeing with them or simply be silent? Sometimes you just have to say to someone, you're just wrong or, we have to agree to disagree. You have a fine question. If people answer you by bullying you or keep on disrespecting you, find an exit option. If you are doing your best and a solution just can't be found, it might be time to surround yourself with respectful, honest people. No one is going to admit they are wrong if they don't want to do it. You can't force them, you would end up having the same attitude you hate. Their ego might just not want to see it and it's hurting yours. Go away. Find people that love you and that are ready to have an open-minded dialogue.
