How to Absentee Vote


Getting an absentee ballot can be confusing, but it’s important to make sure that your voice is heard in every election. If you’re an American citizen and you’re unable to vote in person on Election Day, submit your vote via absentee ballot. Request an absentee ballot either online or in person, and return it whatever way is easiest for you: either in person or through the mail system. If you’re a member of the military or living overseas, apply for a Federal Postcard Application. This is a document that both registers you to vote and obtains an absentee ballot for you, saving you from having to do these things separately.
